Do you want to help make Writing for All a success? Become an advisor for a leadership group!

We want professional and creative people to join our three leadership groups:

  • Governance Group
  • Creative Advisory Group
  • Investors Group

We are looking for: a broad range of people who share our vision of creating an inclusive writing ecology; people of any age, experience, gender, race, education, or ability, with a diversity of experience, skills and outlooks. For example: representatives of writing groups and writing development organisations, community experts, fundraisers, and industry representatives (such as publishers and agents).

We need: chairs, treasurers and members for all three groups. We want to recruit a variety of types of writers, industry professionals, and experts so that the whole of the writing community is represented.

What will the groups do?

The groups will work alongside the Paper Nations team and well-known figures from writing, publishing, and education who will take on strategic roles in the project. These include writers and educators such as Kate Pullinger, Kit De Waal, and Naomi Alderman.

Each group will meet at least once a year, and there may be other opportunities to contribute expertise throughout the year. This is a voluntary position but we can offer travel expenses and some childcare costs.

Is this you?

Becoming an advisor will enable you to make a difference, share your expertise, and contribute to the success of Writing for All. You will gain experience of working on a major Arts Council England-funded programme, which supports and nurtures the growth of the writing ecology in the South-West. You will have the opportunity to network with local and national writing representatives, develop your own professional experience, and be a part of making writing more accessible to everyone.

Are you a writer or educator with experience to offer this writing programme? Maybe you are someone with a passion for ensuring that programmes are inclusive to all and managed in an equitable manner? Perhaps you have experience of running fundraising campaigns or engaging with investors? Whatever your skills and interests, we’d love you to get involved!
