It’s the last week of the summer holidays, but there’s still time to get involved in our Dare to Write Quest! The aim of the quest is to get young people started on their journey to become young writers. We’ll do this through a series of four challenges that will help kids everywhere explore their writing interests.
The Dare to Write Quest is the first part of The Year of Writing, which is a project we are pre-launching this year. We’re still in the process of designing, building and testing how our Year of Writing will all work in practice. We want to reach the widest possible range of young writers, and Our Dare to Write Quest is the first step in making that happen.
We’ve developed some extra content to help adults and children to get started with the Dare to Write Quest. If you sign up to the quest by Wednesday 30th August, you will also receive goodies including:
- A free, downloadable poster that breaks down each stage of the quest so you can easily tackle each challenge and track your progress.
- A set of four guides, giving you extra advice to complete each of the four challenges in our quest. These are personalised for either children taking part in the quest or adults supporting a child.
If you’re interested in beginning your own writing journey, or you know a child who’s mad for storytelling, we’d love to get you started.
Can you finish our Dare to Write quest before school starts?
Sign up before 6.00pm on Wednesday 30th August to take part.
