In our current climate, exploring new technology and innovative ways to tell a story is more relevant than ever. This May, Paper Nations are joining The Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries, Bristol+Bath Creative R+D, and creative technology partners To Play For to host a fully-funded, two-day workshop that explores the storytelling revolution.
With thanks to all those that applied, we are very excited to announce the writers that will participate in our AI Story Lab. These writers will learn, create and collaborate on a new world of storytelling at the forefront of interactive technology.
Our 10 writers include a gamemaker, a playwright, two poets, a drama and theatre for education specialist, an ex-actor and copywriter, a computer science and mathematics student writing short stories and coding in his free time and an immersive media producer.
Our writers:
- Alison Bown
- Suzanna Cardash
- Alex Carter
- Constance Fleuriot
- Marnie Forbes Eldridge
- Kerry Harrison
- Ralph Hoyte
- Jasmine Richards
- Lucy Telling
- Matthew Thorpe-Coles
The AI Story Lab aims to dissect what makes a narrative, a character and a motive. The outcome will be interactive, immersive, non-linear and the future-focused. We’re itching to hear what creations are conjured from the workshop and how these ideas might just change the way we share our own narrative with the world around us.
