We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with B&NES Library Service and the Bath Record Office as part of our community writing project, The Great Margin.

For those of you who haven’t heard – ‘Lockdown’ is a new competition run by the library service calling for short stories or poems. Members of Libraries West aged over 18 are eligible to enter. The deadline for these competitions is May 18th.

If you’re a member of Libraries West (which includes libraries from Bristol through to Poole) you can now submit your work to the appropriate ‘Lockdown’ competition via The Great Margin submission form.

As part of this collaboration, entries to the Great Margin and ‘Lockdown’ competition will also form part of Bath Record Office’s ‘Corona Captured’, an archive of the personal responses of local residents to the current pandemic. Writers submitting to The Great Margin who live in Bath or North East Somerset now have the option of their entries also being included in ‘Corona Captured’.

There’s only one week left to get your entries in to ‘Lockdown’ so get entering via our submissions page. To read more information, as well as terms and conditions, head to ‘Corona Captured’.
